Prior to joining KPUPM, Xianmin worked as a Petroleum Engineer for Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC), Saudi Aramco and Senior Petroleum Engineer/Senior Core Analyst for four major oil companies including Daqing Petroleum Research Center, China, and Core Lab Inc., Omni Labs Inc. and Intertek Westport Technology Center in the U.S. His current research interests include SC-CO2EOR, CEOR, special core analysis, rock wettability studies and reservoir characterization. His specialty is designing and developing Lab’s equipment at reservoir condition to meet research needs. Tatiana I. Novikova has completed her PhD at the age of 28 years from Saint-Petersburg State University at the department of Geophysics. For many years she is successful collaborator with Institute of Geodynamics, National Observatory of Athens and Institute of Earth Silences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. Her research interests belong to the area of application of numerical models in study of such geohazard phenomena (and their risk assessment) as: tsunamis and its origins as earthquakes, landslides, pyroclastic flows; modeling of non-linear site responses including liquefaction. Also she made a significant contribution with her study dedicated to Minoan volcano eruption and tsunami during the stay in Wiener Laboratory, American School of Classical Studies, in Greece as research associate. Soumaya ELARBAOUI has completed her PhD from Carthage University, Tunisia. She is a researcher in the Laboratory of Water, membrane and Biotechnology of Environnement, Tunisia. She has over 10 publications in National and International Journal, She Studied the effects of environmental and anthropological changes in marine organisms, at different levels of biological organisation, and develop valorization strategies.
Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an associate researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the built environment and master of philosophy degree in renewable energy technologies from the university of nottingham. He is qualified mechanical engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from university of El menoufia, Egypt, BSc in mechanical engineering. His previous experience involved being a member of the research team at the national council for research/energy research institute in Sudan and working director of research and development for national water equipment manufacturing Co. Ltd., Sudan. He has been listed in the book “who’s who” in the World 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010. He has published over 300 papers in peer-reviewed journals, 200 review articles, 7 books and 150 chapters in books.

Takashiro AKITSU, Ph.D. is a full Professor for the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science Division II at Tokyo University of Science. He completed his undergraduate school training (chemistry) from Osaka University, Japan and his graduate school training (physical & inorganic chemistry, especially coordination, crystal, and bioinorganic chemistry) from Osaka University (Ph.D. 2000). After Keio University and Stanford University, He moved to the current affiliation since 2008. Dr. Akitsu has published up to about 180 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has had posters presented at international level. He has been a peer reviewer of many journals and acted as an organizing committee of several international conferences.

Dr Zahid Qamar, Sayyad is currently associated with the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Muscat, Oman. He has over 20 years of academic and research experience in different international universities. He has also worked as a professional mechanical engineer in the field for over 6 years in the heavy engineering and fabrication industry (Manager Research and Development; Deputy Manager Design; Production Engineer; Quality Control Engineer). On top of his experience as a researcher/academician, he has been actively involved in research and accreditation work related to engineering education. His technical research areas are Applied materials and manufacturing; Applied mechanics and design; Reliability engineering; and Engineering education. As part of the Applied Mechanics and Advanced Materials Research group (AM2R) at SQU, he has been involved in different applied research funded projects in excess of 4 million dollars.
